This is the biggest week of the year so far. The 83rd Annual Santa Maria Elks Rodeo runs Wednesday through Sunday — Xtreme Bulls kicks it off Wednesday night, then four PRCA-sanctioned rodeo performances with bull riding, barrel racing, and mutton bustin'. One of the largest rodeos in California.

At the same time, the 40th Annual Pismo Beach Classic Car Show takes over the waterfront, Firestone Walker Beer Fest brings dozens of breweries to Paso Robles, and the Avila Beach Blues Festival returns for its 24th year. Plus a Spring Wine Walk in downtown Paso, historical demonstrations at La Purisima Mission, and the Pismo Summer Market opening day.
